Records are through Feb. 12.

Varsity 4 Super 6 baseball rankings

Rank, School, Record, Classification

1. Trinity Christian (1-1, Class 2A)

Quality win: Suwannee.

Notable: The Conquerors are loaded and primed for a return trip to the 2A state championship game. They didn’t lose their first game last year until their sixth time out, so I’m not too concerned about a 2-0 loss to Creekside. The bats have yet to get going (seven hits in two games). Gage Petrutz was the only Trinity player to scratch out hits against Creekside. The huge loss comes in the form of ace Aaron Watson, who was unbelievable last year on the mound and wound up as a second-round pick by the Reds. If hurlers Ethan Wheeler and Tyler Ellis can hold down top of the rotation duties, and the offense can crank up the bats, the Conquerors will be one of the last area teams standing come championship time. Wheeler whiffed 10 in five innings against Suwannee.

2. St. Johns Country Day (2-0, Class 1A)

Quality wins: Beachside, University Christian.

Notable: The Spartans are a championship contender and one of the state’s best teams. Back is reigning player of the year Brayden Harris, a two-way monster who had a gigantic season on the mound in 2025. Preston Cole, Jonas Wells, Gavin Coffey and Mason Jones have all swung the bat well early. Harris didn’t lose a game on the mound last season for the 26-9, state runner-up Spartans.

3. Bishop Snyder (1-0, Class 2A)

Quality win: Fernandina Beach.

Notable: The Cardinals, two years removed now from having the area’s top player in Aidan King, haven’t seen a drop in production. They went 23-8 last year before losing 2-1 in the best-of-three series against Bozeman in the second round. Snyder has player of the year contender Cody Boshell (Tennessee signee) and Tripp Hannah (Oklahoma State signee) leading what should be a top six team all season.

4. Creekside (1-1, Class 7A)

Quality win: Trinity Christian.

Notable: Heck of a start for the Knights on the mound as Matt Bysheim shut down nationally ranked Trinity Christian with five innings and six Ks in a 2-0 win. Catcher Connor Balazic is back after hitting .461 and driving in 24 runs. The Knights added a solid transfer in the versatile Dominic Cantona from Bartram Trail, which should help bolster a few positions. The loss was a 4-3 game to an excellent Spruce Creek team that’s coming off a 30-4 season.

5. Tocoi Creek (2-0, Class 6A)

Quality win: Bolles.

Notable: The Toros are fresh off a program-best 19-10 season. The pitching staff should be top tier this year. Karter Alvarez, Wyatt Faircloth, Kaleb Stockwell, Nate Wade and Bryson Williams front the hurlers. Jackson Sizemore hit .343 last year and returns to lead the offense.

6. Providence (2-0, Class 2A)

Quality win: Fletcher.

Notable: The Stallions bogged down last year and finished a disappointing 15-12 against a very tough schedule. Iowa signee Luke Manderson is the big name to watch for the Stallions. Providence will play its traditional difficult schedule and slug it out in a brutal District 3-2A with the likes of Snyder, Trinity, Bolles and Episcopal. I’ve got the Stallions in ahead of Bolles, Bishop Kenny, Clay and Suwannee.

On the bubble

Beachside (2-1, Class 5A); Bishop Kenny (2-0, Class 4A); Bolles (0-1, Class 2A); Clay (1-1, Class 4A); Episcopal (0-2, Class 2A); First Coast (2-1, Class 6A); Mandarin (2-0, Class 6A); Suwannee (1-1, Class 3A); University Christian (1-1, Class 1A)

Copyright 2026 by WJXT News4JAX – All rights reserved.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 Super 6 high school baseball rankings will be published on Fridays during…

[8
2625,116,118,117,1631,45595,16308
0":"post-156086","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-jacksonville","8":"tag-high-school","9":"tag-jacksonville","10":"tag-jacksonville-headlines","11":"tag-jacksonville-news","12":"tag-sports4jax","13":"tag-super-6","14":"tag-varsity-4
["GET
