JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 We are expecting strong to severe thunderstorms and much-needed rainfall to impact all of our Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida counties this afternoon. <\/p>\n
TStorm Risk<\/p>\n
A Slight Risk means the potential for a few more severe storms, with higher confidence in their development.<\/p>\n
Before the arrival of the storms, however, we could have near record highs temperatures in the low 80s. The record for today is 83\/2001.<\/p>\n
Model guidance shows the line holding together as it moves into our western counties and Southeast Georgia between 2-3 p.m., Northeast Florida counties, including Baker, Duval, Bradford, Clay, and Alachua, around 4-5 p.m., and into Putnam and St. Johns counties by 7-8 p.m.<\/p>\n
A Wind Advisory is in effect from noon through 6 p.m. due to forecasted damaging southwest winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. A few brief tornadoes both ahead of and within the squall line system can\u2019t be ruled out.<\/p>\n

After the system passes through this evening, scattered showers will continue through the early hours Monday morning.<\/p>\n
Expect lows in the 50s with some low clouds and patchy fog possible early Wednesday morning, especially over southeast Georgia.<\/p>\n
