The Kings Park Marching Band and their parent association say their trip to Orlando did not go as planned.<\/p>\n
Parents told News 12 they were supposed to leave for Disney World Saturday morning to go to the park and perform.<\/p>\n
They said when they arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport to fly out on Delta, their flight got cancelled.<\/p>\n
Parents said everyone was trying to figure for hours out a way to get the kids on another flight.<\/p>\n
“A lot of the kids are disappointed and my daughter was saying, a lot of the kids, when they get an update, there’s a little bit of hope. An hour later, you find out it’s not working and they just get upset at different stages throughout the day, so they just console each other,” said parent Patrick Corbett.<\/p>\n
Parents added that they were told the money from the cancelled flight will be refunded.<\/p>\n
