As we near the start date of UFL training camp on Feb. 20, there are new faces in new places all across the league, but perhaps nowhere more prominently than with one of the three brand-new franchises, the Orlando Storm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Storm are led by head coach Anthony Becht, who was likely one Battlehawks championship-win away from earning the key to the city of St. Louis. Nonetheless, Becht now finds himself back home in the sunshine state with an almost entirely new roster and staff, but still with the same end-goal in mind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Today, we discuss and break down one of the most talented positional groups (on paper) on Orlando\u2019s roster, with the wide receivers. Could the group of Chris Rowland, KJ Hamler, and Dee Anderson be the most dangerous trinity of wide receivers in the UFL this upcoming season? Let\u2019s talk about it.<\/p>\n

Chris Rowland, Tennessee State\u00a0<\/p>\n

The UFL\u2019s 2025 all-purpose yards leader, Chris Rowland, will be suiting up in different threads this upcoming season after winning a championship with DC last season. Rowland, who was an All-UFL WR and Return Specialist last year, was not protected by DC during January\u2019s draft process and was selected by Orlando, in what could be the absolute steal of the draft.<\/p>\n

Rowland is a proven swiss-army knife on the field, with the ability to be effective on all three levels. Even with a smaller stature at 5\u20198 183 lbs., Rowland quickness in and out of cuts and overall route-running allows for him to separate at an extremely high rate. In 2025, Rowland finished 2nd in receiving yards, 2nd in YAC, and 8th in YPC.<\/p>\n

The main question for Rowland this spring will be his newfound connection with whoever the Storm\u2019s starting quarterback is when Week 1 arrives, as the QB1 competition will be between Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Jack Plummer, and Hank Bachmeier.\u00a0<\/p>\n

KJ Hamler, Penn State<\/p>\n

KJ Hamler is easily one of the most exciting new players arriving to the spring football scene in 2026. Hamler, who was originally drafted during the 2020 NFL Draft in the second round by the Denver Broncos, spent roughly five seasons in the NFL before making the transition to the UFL this past offseason.<\/p>\n

Similarly to Rowland, Hamler\u2019s smaller size allows him to display a different, more explosive skillset than most wideouts, and also allows more versatility on the offensive side with playcalling, matchups, etc. Hamler also has experience on special teams as a returner, potentially allowing for a dual returner set on kickoffs with Rowland.<\/p>\n

Hamler, just 26 years old, has a prime opportunity with Orlando to earn his way back onto an NFL camp roster following this season.<\/p>\n

Dee Anderson, Alabama A&M<\/p>\n

Former Showboats and Brahmas wide receiver, Dee Anderson, projects as the Storm\u2019s true starting \u201cX\u201d receiver prior to camp starting this week.<\/p>\n

Listed 6\u20195 225 lbs., Anderson is a staggering target outside and has viable experience during his last two UFL seasons. Midway through last year, Anderson was traded to the Brahmas (now Storm) from the Showboats (now Kings). We know HC Anthony Becht enjoys utilizing big targets in his offense after the success of Hakeem Butler in St. Louis, so Anderson could be primed for a big season.<\/p>\n

With about a month and a half until we kickoff spring football, it can be hard to make proclamations whether this or that is the \u201cbest\u201d with such a wide-open and unpredictable field. The caveat to that might be this Orlando Storm receiving corps, assuming they have someone capable enough to get them the ball\u2026<\/p>\n
