This year\u2019s History Icon Award honorees: the Wolfson family, the Ansin family, the Orange Bowl Committee, Dr. Paul S. George, and Congresswoman Carrie P. Meek (In Memoriam) were recognized with the museum\u2019s highest honor for their enduring contributions to the Miami community. The awards honor trailblazers, visionaries, and changemakers whose impact has left an indelible mark on Miami\u2019s past while continuing to shape its future. Past honorees, including members of the Abess family, were in attendance alongside Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega, and former board chairman and philanthropists John Shubin and Michael Weiser. The luncheon was emceed by Laurie Jennings, with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava\u00a0presenting proclamations to each honoree.
