{"id":158742,"date":"2026-02-17T19:11:26","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/158742\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T19:11:26","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:11:26","slug":"israeli-man-arrested-at-portmiami-for-having-child-sex-abuse-video-on-phone-sheriffs-office-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/158742\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli man arrested at PortMiami for having child sex abuse video on phone, sheriff&#8217;s office says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Israeli man was arrested at PortMiami following a cruise Monday after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/miami-dade-sheriffs-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Miami-Dade Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a> said he was found with a video depicting child sexual abuse on his cellphone.<\/p>\n<p>According to an arrest report from the MDSO, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/us-customs-and-border-protection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">U.S. Customs and Border Protection<\/a> (CBP) officers received a &#8220;suspicious activity report&#8221; regarding 29-year-old Basilios Grayeb, of Haifia.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/cbsmiami-basilios-grayeb-1.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"cbsmiami-basilios-grayeb-1.jpg \" height=\"778\" width=\"620\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Basilios Grayeb<\/p>\n<p>                Miami-Dade Corrections<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, the report was in regards to &#8220;the purchasing of child sexual abuse material.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Investigators headed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/royal-caribbean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Royal Caribbean<\/a> Cruise Line&#8217;s Freedom of the Seas ship and took Grayeb into custody.<\/p>\n<p>According to the arrest report, a CBP officer then conducted a border search on Grayeb&#8217;s cellphone. On the phone, officials said they found a video showing a man raping a girl who appeared to be under 5-years-old.<\/p>\n<p>According to the MDSO, Grayeb confessed after being given his Miranda rights .
