Hernando County, FL – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was arrested in Hernando County after allegedly traveling 60 miles per hour over the posted speed limit on Cortez Boulevard.<\/p>\n
According to the Hernando County Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies reported that a sheriff\u2019s deputy was conducting speed enforcement near Olympia Road when the motorcycle was observed moving at an extremely high rate of speed.<\/p>\n
Using a laser speed detection device, the deputy allegedly recorded the motorcycle traveling 110 mph in a 50 mph zone. <\/p>\n
The rider, identified as Corbin Smith, was stopped and taken into custody under Florida\u2019s “Super Speeder” law, which applies to drivers exceeding 30 mph above the posted speed limit. <\/p>\n
