ALSO HAPPENING. IMMERSE. RETURNING TO DOWNTOWN ORLANDO THIS WEEKEND. THIS IS AN INTERACTIVE FESTIVAL WITH MUSIC, ART, INSTALLATIONS AND SO MUCH MORE. IT IS HAPPENING TOMORROW AND SATURDAY FROM 5 TO 11 P.M. IN DOWNTOWN ORLANDO. IT ENDS SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH FIREWORKS AT LAKE EOLA AT ONE. IT IS FREE TO ATTEND, BUT THERE ARE SOME TICKETED EVENTS SO YOU CAN BUY THOSE TICKETS AS PART OF THE FESTIVAL. THAT EVENT IS ALREADY IMPACTING TRAFFIC IN DOWNTOWN ORLANDO. FIRST WARNING TRAFFIC EXPERT MEAGHAN MACKEY IS JOINING US TO EXPLAIN WHAT AREAS DRIVERS SHOULD AVOID FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. MEGAN. YES, THEY HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO SET UP, SO THESE ROADS ARE ALREADY SHUT DOWN AS OF THIS MORNING. WILL STAY CLOSED UNTIL 6:00 ON SUNDAY AND THEY INCLUDE SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE BETWEEN CENTRAL BOULEVARD AND ANDERSON STREET, WHICH IS THE BIGGEST ROAD. THE BIGGEST IMPACT HERE, AS WELL AS PINE AND CHURCH STREET FROM AROUND COURT STREET TO THE RAILROAD TRACKS. ADDITIONALLY, SOUTH STREET IS CLOSED EASTBOUND ONLY AT BOONE AVENUE AND JACKSON STREET BETWEEN MAGNOLIA AVENUE AND ORANGE AVENUE IS ALSO SHUT DOWN, SO THIS BIG PURPLE AREA IS WHERE THOSE SHUTDOWNS ARE. BUT IF YOU\u2019RE FAMILIAR WITH DOWNTOWN ORLANDO, THIS IS REALLY THAT MAIN STRETCH THERE. AND WE DO OFTEN SEE CLOSURES HERE FOR BIG EVENTS. HUEY AVENUE HERE IS GOING TO BE THE BEST DETOUR FOR YOUR DRIVE UNTIL SUNDAY.
