St. Pete Beach Public Library News<\/p>\n

ST. PETE BEACH \u2014 The St. Pete Beach Public Library has set its schedule of upcoming events.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Tuesdays, 10 a.m. \u2014 Story Time! This lively story time is perfect for children ages 5 and under and their caregivers. Explore stories, songs and movement that build early literacy skills and support motor development.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Friday, Feb. 20, noon \u2014 Feature Film. See spblibrary.com<\/a> for movie details.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Saturday, Feb. 21, 11 a.m. \u2014 Game On! Come try out the library\u2019s all-ages interactive projector game system, interactive lightboard, and interactive game table!<\/p>\n

\u2022 Saturday Feb. 21, 2-4 p.m. \u2014 Tech Help: Get one-on-one help with technology basics and library-related app (no repairs). Mondays are a walk-in basis. For Saturday Tech Help, walk in or can sign up for a 30-minute appointment here: https:\/\/calendly.com\/stpbeachlibrary\/30min<\/a> or call 727-363-9238. Because this program will be occurring after regular library hours, all other library services will be suspended during this time.<\/p>\n

DAR presents on \u2018forgotten patriotic women\u2019<\/p>\n

ST. PETE BEACH \u2014 Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Princess Hirrihigua Chapter presented the \u201cForgotten Patriotic Women Who Served in the American Revolution\u201d program on Feb. 7 at the St. Pete Beach Public Library.<\/p>\n

As part of this program, six DAR members dressed in colonial attire to highlight the heroic roles of 23 women who assisted at eight major battlefields from Massachusetts to Georgia. They described their diverse roles \u2014 camp followers, warriors, nurses, and spies \u2014 supporting the Patriots before and during the Revolution (as \u201cDaughters of Liberty and Homespun\u201d) and (as \u201cDaughters of the American Revolution\u201d) fighting for their freedom during the American Revolution.<\/p>\n

The program is scheduled to be presented again on March 8 at the Historic Heritage Village.<\/p>\n

Gulf Beaches library sets activities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Meditation: Fridays, 11 a.m.-noon. Relax and rejuvenate at the end of the week.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Scrabble: Fridays, 1-4 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Ages 2 and under; Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Ages 2-4.<\/p>\n

\u2022 AARP Tax Help: Through April 14. Appointment required; call 727-346-8256.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Library Fundraiser: Thursday, Feb. 26, 5 p.m. Enjoy live music and food while bidding on gift baskets from local vendors. Participate in the burying of a new time capsule to be opened in 2076.<\/p>\n
