It\u2019s been a busy week for Anthony Becht and the Orlando Storm<\/a>. After coaches arrived to UFL<\/a> Training Camp, Becht\u2019s staff is already seeing some changes. Per Kevin Seifert of ESPN, Offensive Coordinator Kyle Caskey was hired by the Minnesota Vikings as an Offensive Assistant.<\/p>\n

Caskey was slated to be the @UFLStorm<\/a>‘s OC.<\/p>\n

This is an abrupt loss for Orlando, as Caskey was set to take over as OC for the first time on Becht\u2019s staff. Kyle has been with the St. Louis Battlehawks the last two years, coaching the running backs and special teams unit. With former OC Phil McGeoghan taking a gig overseas, Kyle was hired from within.<\/p>\n

Now, he receives an opportunity in the NFL \u2013 something Becht & Co. are thrilled about. While the timing isn\u2019t perfect, the Storm are prepared for the chaos.<\/p>\n

This offseason, Anthony Becht added former NFL and XFL Tight End, Colin Thompson, to his staff as Wide Receivers\u2019 Coach. Colin is young, but has a brilliant football mind. He\u2019ll be a strong addition to Orlando\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n

League sources tell Pro Football Newsroom that Thompson, alongside OL Coach Marc Colombo, will serve as Co-Offensive Coordinators. Marc jumped over to Orlando with Anthony, serving in the same O-Line role in 2025 with the Battlehawks. Both will retain their individual roles as well (WR\u2019s, O-Line).<\/p>\n

No decision has been made yet on who will be the offensive play caller in Orlando. Head Coach Anthony Becht is also in the mix for that specific role, depending on how things shake out in Training Camp. Whatever the case may be, Storm fans should not be too concerned \u2013 as Caskey and his crew were already meeting for months in advance \u2013 Colombo, Thompson, & Co. are well prepared.<\/p>\n

Other Staff Adds<\/p>\n

With all of the movement for the Orlando #Storm<\/a>, Anthony Becht has added a couple of pieces to his #UFL<\/a> staff:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Mike Phair, Linebackers Coach<\/p>\n

In addition to that movement, the Storm have added Art Valero (RB\u2019s Coach) and Mike Phair (LB\u2019s Coach) to the staff. Valero was with Becht in 2023, in the same role. Phair is a brand new addition, replacing Chris Claiborne who was Becht\u2019s linebackers coach for three seasons in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

Finally, Martin Bayless (assistant DB\u2019s coach) will take over the special teams, with Caskey no longer in the building. While it\u2019s an unfortunate loss for Orlando, it\u2019s another testament to the coaching tree that Becht has overseen. This is now the second coach from his staff to go to the NFL, with Bruce Gradkowski (Detroit Lions) being the first.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an exciting new era for pro football in Florida. The Orlando Storm have one of the best rosters in the UFL, and with Becht and his staff at the helm \u2013 the sky is the limit for what this team is capable of.
