(WCTV) &#8211; Before the Lincoln girls weightlifting team left for state last week, head coach Jordan Bush handed each of the four girls a card. On it was the inscription, \u201cdon\u2019t just leave a mark, leave a legacy.\u201d It\u2019s something Bush\u2019s mom Diane, a longtime softball coach in New York, used to say before she passed away. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bush knew this group had a chance to do something special, and that special group first showed up at Regionals. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cMs. Jordan came up and screamed that we won,\u201d remembered Breana Carter, who finished first in Traditional and second in Olympic at Regionals. \u201cShe was so excited. She ran into the bleachers, guys, I think we\u2019re first! I think we\u2019re first!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThey were all like what?\u201d laughed Bush. \u201cI was like, guys we won! I think we were all shocked.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For the first time in school history, the Trojans were regional champs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe were not favored to win at all,\u201d said Bush. \u201cIt was a big shock. I love being an underdog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Four Trojans qualified for state, and that\u2019s were this group went from special to legendary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI wasn\u2019t really planning on winning. There was hope for that, but no true intention of winning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Senior Hannah Meckes won the Class 2A state championship for Traditional in the 110 weight class, the program\u2019s first ever individual state champion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cFinding out that I made history, I was like wow, me?\u201d she said. \u201cWow, that\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As a team?
