I KNOW YOU FEEL IT. ALL RIGHT, LET’S LOOK OUTSIDE, THOUGH, BECAUSE WE’VE GOTE CHANGES MOVING IN. I WANT TO MAKE SURE TO HELP YOU NAVIGATE SO THAT EACH DAY IS AS GOOD AS TODAY. 87 THIS AFTERNOON, IT’S GOING TO BE A TOASTY WARM FRIDAY. WE’LL GET EVEN HOTTER TOMORROW AT 88, THEN A FEW SHOWERS ON SUNDAY, DROPPING THE TEMPERATURES INTO MONDAY AND TUESDAY. AND IT’S GETTING COLD ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. FIRST, LET’S TALK ABOUT THE RAINS THIS WEEKEND BECAUSE IT IS THE WEEKEND. AND I’VE GOT GOOD NEWS. FIRST OFF, THE TIMING HAS SHIFTED. THIS IS 3 A.M. SUNDAY. STARTING TO SEE THOSE SHOWERS MOVING INTO OUR NORTHERN SPOTS. WE’LL PUSH THAT THROUGH THE METRO 7 A.M. AND THEN BY LIKE 10 A.M. IT’S DONE AND OVER WITH. SO WE’RE NOT GOING TO SEE ALL THAT MUCH OF AN IMPACT. AND THEN THROUGH THE DAY SUNDAY, THE SKIES ARE GOING TO GO CLEAR AND WE’RE GOING TO HAVE OURSELVES A GREAT DAY. UNFORTUNATELY, WE’RE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT MUCH RAIN. A FEW AREAS THAT COULD SEE A QUARTER OF AN INCH OF RAIN OR SO. MOST OF CENTRAL FLORIDA BASICALLY SEEING NOTHING. WHICH MEANS THAT OUR DROUGHT MONITOR WILL CONTINUE TO GET A LITTLE BIT ROUGHER. THIS IS THE NEWEST DROUGHT MONITOR WAS ISSUED YESTERDAY MORNING, STILL UNDER AN EXTREME DROUGHT FOR OUR NORTHERN AREAS. WHEREAS THE METRO IS UNDER A MODERATE DROUGHT. BUT WHEN WE COMPARE THINGS FROM LAST WEEK TO THIS WEEK, WE CAN KIND OF BASICALLY SEE HOW THINGS ARE JUST TRYING TO GET A LITTLE BIT WORSE. BUT WITH THE RAIN, WE WERE ABLE TO HOLD IT OFF. SO THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS. NOW THE SHOWERS THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT ON SUNDAY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A COLD FRONT. SO HIGH TEMPERATURE ON SATURDAY IS 88, LOW TEMPERATURE ON MONDAY IS 43. THERE’S THAT DRAMATIC SHIFT OUTSIDE THIS MORNING LOOKING OVER TO SLS LAUNCH COMPLEX 39 B, WHERE HOPEFULLY WE’LL GET ARTEMIS UP HERE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. WOULDN’T THAT BE FUN? TEMPERATURES OUT THE DOOR LOWER 60S IN OCALA, MID 60S FOR US IN ORLANDO. BUS STOP FORECAST LOOKING GREAT THIS MORNING. DO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF PATCHY FOG, ESPECIALLY IN OUR WESTERN AREAS TO CONTEND WITH. BUT INTO THE AFTERNOON IT’S FEELING HOT 87 DEGREES. OUR HIGH TEMPERATURE AVERAGE IS 76. WE ARE WAY ABOVE THAT. WE’RE CLOSE TO RECORD, SO I DON’T THINK WE’RE GOING TO GET THERE TODAY. TOMORROW WE MAY GET INTO RECORD HEAT THOUGH. 85 IN OCALA, 85 DEGREES DAYTONA BEACH AND 87 IN PALM BAY. SO IT’S A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE THROUGH THE DAY, LOOKING ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. EVENING DINNER PLANS ARE LOOKING FANTASTIC. THEN THE FOG MAY TRY TO SETTLE IN ONCE AGAIN, ESPECIALLY WEST OF THE METRO THROUGH OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. COASTAL SEVEN DAY FORECAST SHOWING THAT CHANCE OF RAIN. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S. THEN THEY DROP OFF OUR INLAND SEVEN DAY FORECAST. VERY MUCH THE SAME IDEA 87 TOD

Central Florida to see hottest temps of 2026 this weekend

   Updated: 6:35 AM EST Feb 20, 2026

  Editorial Standards ⓘ

The area is experiencing its warmest temperatures since October of last year, with highs reaching the upper 80s today and tomorrow.A few showers are expected to arrive on Sunday, paving the way for a significant chill on Monday.First Warning Weather Stay with WESH 2 online and on-air for the most accurate Central Florida weather forecast.RadarSevere Weather AlertsDownload the WESH 2 News app to get the most up-to-date weather alerts.
