A motorcyclist died late Thursday night after crashing into a median and a tree on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n

JSO Sgt. Robert Hungerford said the motorcyclist, a man in his late 40s, was traveling eastbound in the 11000 block of Crystal Springs Road around 11:37 p.m. when he “veered to the left and struck the center median curb and then a tree.”<\/p>\n

Hungerford said the collision caused the man to be ejected from his motorcycle.<\/p>\n

Members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department then responded to the scene, Hungerford said, and pronounced the man dead.<\/p>\n

This crash marks the 28th traffic fatality in Duval County in 2026, and the 7th involving a motorcycle.<\/p>\n
