James Fishback\u00a0visited Miami this week to promote his gubernatorial campaign, strolling city sidewalks and podcasting with antisemitic influencers\u00a0Sneako\u00a0and\u00a0Myron\u00a0Gaines, who made headlines for\u00a0requesting and partying to Ye\u2019s \u201cHeil Hitler\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in a Miami Beach nightclub last month.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0one-hour video<\/a>\u00a0posted to YouTube, Fishback walked around downtown Miami with Sneako (real name\u00a0Nico Kenn De Balinthazy), an internet influencer who has\u00a0faced bans<\/a>\u00a0from YouTube and Twitch for\u00a0spreading<\/a>\u00a0homophobic<\/a>,\u00a0misogynistic<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0antisemitic<\/a>\u00a0rhetoric.<\/p>\n

After they use a crosswalk without waiting for the go-ahead signal, Fishback said, \u201cThe headline will read tomorrow, \u2018Florida gubernatorial candidate breaks the law with Hitler sympathizer.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Sneako took the quip as a reference to TV host\u00a0Piers Morgan\u2019s\u00a0recent description of his Miami Beach stunt as \u201cHitler-celebrating bullshit<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what Piers Morgan was calling me, \u2018He\u2019s a Hitler lover.\u2019 It\u2019s like, the guy\u2019s dead. There\u2019s no Nazi Party. I\u2019m not a Nazi. It doesn\u2019t exist. It\u2019s over,\u201d he said. \u201cYou can\u2019t listen to a song, James.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s crazy,\u201d Fishback said, before asking Sneako to name his top three Ye songs.<\/p>\n

Later, Sneako said he received confirmation that\u00a0White supremacist, Holocaust denying<\/a>\u00a0streamer\u00a0Nick Fuentes\u00a0has\u00a0endorsed Fishback<\/a>\u00a0for Governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh gee, that\u2019ll really help,\u201d Fishback joked, prompting Sneako to joke that Fuentes is instead supporting U.S. Rep.\u00a0Byron Donalds, who leads Fishback in the Republican Primary in almost every poll.<\/p>\n

Fishback, grinning, corrects Sneako\u2019s pronunciation, calling Donalds \u201cBy\u2019rone,\u201d one of numerous, thinly veiled racist remarks he\u2019s thrown the Black Congressman\u2019s way. He has also called Donalds a \u201cslave<\/a>\u201d to his donors and a \u201ctoken Black\u201d lawmaker who wants to turn Florida into a \u201cSection 8 ghetto<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In January, videos spread online of Sneako, Fuentes, Gaines and fellow \u201cmanosphere<\/a>\u201d figures\u00a0Andrew Tate,\u00a0Tristan Tate\u00a0and\u00a0Clavicular\u00a0dancing and singing along to West\u2019s song at the Vend\u00f4me nightclub, prompting\u00a0widespread backlash<\/a>. Other videos show them continuing to sing the song in a car while Gaines (real name\u00a0Amrou Fudl)\u00a0performed a Nazi salute<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fishback, who appeared to have no problem pronouncing Gaines\u2019 chosen first name despite its similarity to Donalds\u2019, was the\u00a0featured guest<\/a>\u00a0Thursday on Gaines\u2019 podcast, \u201cFresh and Fit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaines, too, has more than dabbled in antisemitism, racism and misogyny. He is the author of \u201cWhy Women Deserve Less,\u201d which he has described as being about \u201cthe ways in which women are benefiting unfairly at nearly every man\u2019s expense.\u201d<\/p>\n

His show, in turn, also features antisemitic content,\u00a0anti-LGBTQ<\/a>\u00a0rhetoric and\u00a0regularly demeans women guests<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gaines has declared that\u00a0Adolf Hitler\u00a0\u201cwas right<\/a>\u201d about Jews, who he said \u201ccome to a country (and) push pornography.\u201d After a leaked group chat of Young Republicans operatives showed members praising Hitler, Gaines fired back on X, \u201cYeah we like Hitler<\/a>. No one gives a fuck what you woke jews think anymore. Bro was a revolutionary leader and saved germany.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fishback, appearing on the show surrounded by OnlyFans content creators, explained he was there because he wants to \u201cshow up where voters least expect me,\u201d calling CNN and The New York Times \u201cfake news.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later in the show, an audience member asked Fishback whether he would rather \u201cSell out to Israel or marry one of\u201d the show\u2019s women guests \u201cwithout a prenup.\u201d That prompted co-host\u00a0Walter Weekes\u00a0to ask Fishback if he\u2019d \u201ckiss the wall,\u201d referring to Israel\u2019s Western Wall, a holy Jewish prayer site also revered by Christians.<\/p>\n

During a campaign stop earlier this month at the University of Central Florida, Fishback\u00a0denounced politicians<\/a>\u00a0who \u201cvisit another country\u201d and kiss \u201ca stupid wall,\u201d a clear reference to the Western Wall.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not kissing the wall under any other circumstances,\u201d he said during the podcast. \u201cI know Myron isn\u2019t going to kiss the wall either.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent months, reporting revealed Fishback\u2019s former fianc\u00e9 accused him in court of\u00a0dating her while she was underage<\/a>, then harassing her after they broke up. Fishback called the accusation \u201cabsolutely false.\u201d In December, Florida Politics reported he is\u00a0registered to vote in two states<\/a>, potentially complicating his Governor\u2019s bid.<\/p>\n

Last month, a\u00a0Judge ordered Fishback<\/a>\u00a0to turn over $229,000 in stock certificates from his investment firm to his former employer, Greenlight Capital, as repayment for funds the company says he owes it. Fishback later said he would refuse to pay the money.<\/p>\n

Polling this year from Mason-Dixon and Fabrizio Lee & Associates show Donalds leading the Republican Primary, with at least a fivefold advantage over his closest competitor. Mason-Dixon has Donalds at 37% support, compared to 7% for Lt. Gov.\u00a0Jay Collins, 4% for former House Speaker\u00a0Paul Renner\u00a0and 3% for Fishback. Fabrizio Lee & Associates has Donalds at 47%, with Fishback trailing in a distant second with 5% support.<\/p>\n

Patriot Polling<\/a>, a conservative survey firm that queried likely voters through late January, found Donalds with 37% support compared to 23% for Fishback. Among voters 18-29, Fishback had a 5-percentage-point lead over Donalds in the poll.<\/p>\n

Florida Politics contacted Fishback for comment on this story but did not receive a response by press time.<\/p>\n
