“There’s still that gap for these older cases, particularly where that technology didn’t exist and where they’ve kind of fallen out of public eye. And this is an opportunity to bring them back into the public eye,” said founder Ryan Backmann.

There’s families connected with every single one of these people,” said Backmann.

Long after the headlines fade, it’s important that families know how to keep the word out for their missing loved ones.

“Flyers, keep them simple and consistent. Yard signs keep their faces visible in the community,” said Sanders. “Social media pages post consistently and encourage sharing,” she continued.

[SIGN UP: Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter]

Click here to download the free Action News Jax news and weather apps, click here to download the Action News Jax Now app for your smart TV and click here to stream Action News Jax live.

Action News Jax Top Stories

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Yellow roses lined Jacksonville’s City Hall on Friday in honor of the people missing from…

[8
344,347,9024,28,348,116,351,118,117,1415,77848,349,18394,350,346,345
post-162941","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-jacksonville","tag-action-news-jax","tag-cbs47","tag-city-of-jacksonville","tag-florida","tag-fox30","tag-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville-fl","tag-jacksonville-headlines","tag-jacksonville-news","tag-jacksonville-sheriffs-office","tag-missing-adults-day","tag-northeast-florida","tag-project-cold-case","tag-southeast-georgia","tag-wfox","tag-wjax
["GET
