{"id":163085,"date":"2026-02-20T21:45:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T21:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/163085\/"},"modified":"2026-02-20T21:45:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T21:45:06","slug":"louie-bossi-enters-diversion-agreement-after-battery-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/163085\/","title":{"rendered":"Louie Bossi enters diversion agreement after battery arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prominent South Florida chef Louie Bossi, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2017\/06\/02\/louie-bossi-from-heroin-addict-to-kitchen-kingpin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the namesake<\/a> of restaurants in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, has entered a pre-trial intervention agreement for first-time offenders following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/2026\/01\/13\/south-florida-restaurateur-louie-bossi-arrested-on-misdemeanor-domestic-battery-charge\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">his arrest<\/a> on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge last month, court records show.<\/p>\n<p>If Bossi successfully meets the requirements of the program, the State Attorney\u2019s Office will not pursue the charge presented against him, according to the agreement signed Feb. 2.<\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 12, Bossi\u2019s wife called police after an argument with Bossi, 58, in which she said her husband pushed her and threatened her at their Palm Beach County home, according to a probable cause affidavit for his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>While on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, Bossi\u2019s wife said he was shouting: \u201cI\u2019m going to kill you,\u201d according to the affidavit. A Palm Beach County Sheriff\u2019s deputy who responded to the call wrote in the affidavit that Bossi\u2019s wife had bruising and scratches on her right wrist.<\/p>\n<p>Bossi told the deputy the argument was over his wife\u2019s medication and that she had \u201caggressively approached him so he put his hands on her shoulders\u201d to prevent her from getting to him, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the program, Bossi is required within 60 days to complete an eight-hour anger management course and have no violent contact with his wife, according to the court document.
