The movie was shot in Miami, adding a local touch to one of the festival\u2019s marquee events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cMiami Nights\u201d is just one of more than 50 films and documentaries that audiences will be able to preview before much of the rest of the world sees them. Screenings will take place at Savor Cinema, the festival\u2019s longtime home base.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Lisa Grigorian, president and CEO of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, said the experience goes beyond just watching a movie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cPeople will see films that may never make it on the big screen,\u201d Grigorian said. People will get to see independent films, documentaries.
