Clearwater police and fire rescue officials responded to the shooting at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Royal Breeze Apartments.<\/p>\n

CLEARWATER, Fla. \u2014 A man was injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in Clearwater<\/a>, officials say.<\/p>\n

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue say they responded to the shooting at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Royal Breeze Apartments on U.S. 19 N.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to updates from the police department shared with 10 Tampa Bay News on Sunday evening, the man who was shot was identified as Josten Pack, 37.<\/p>\n

Police say Pack threatened a man and a woman with a knife outside the apartments. “In fear for his life and the life of his girlfriend, the man shot Pack,” police said in the statement.<\/p>\n

Police added that after the shooting, Pack was taken to a local hospital as a trauma alert, with injuries that were not life-threatening. After Pack was treated, he was released from the hospital and taken to jail.<\/p>\n

“He was charged with aggravated assault in the Saturday night incident,” police said.<\/p>\n

Officers added that Pack threw a water bottle at a 70-year-old woman, hitting her in the face the day before.\u00a0<\/p>\n
