He was born in Ukraine and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.<\/p>\n
“We have to remind, to say, this is one of the biggest crises to happen in the world right now,” he said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
He’s not the only one who feels this way.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tetiana Chupryna said the fight must continue until there is security for their country.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Ukraine fights for survival,” she said. “We fight for our language. We fight for our country. We fight for existing.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chupryna is with the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She helped organize the protest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She said the goal is to make sure nobody forgets about the war.<\/p>\n
“It’s not time to be silent, and that’s why we’re all here,” she said. “We are raising our voices and we don’t want the world to forget the word to forget about Ukraine.
