(WITN) &#8211; A Florida man is accused of scamming a realtor out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by selling Pitt County farmland that he never owned. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Earlier this month, the Osceola County, Florida Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested 61-year-old Kellie Butler and held him for extradition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Pitt County depuites say back on April 2nd, they learned that Butler posed as a property owner, pretending to be sick so he couldn\u2019t meet the realtor in person. Instead, they communicated via email and texts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies say Butler eventually told the realtor to wire money to him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to warrants, the farmland is located on Holland Road, outside Belvoir, and was sold for $344,500.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Butler was charged with attempting to obtain property valued at $100,000 or more, identity theft, forgery, and uttering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man was brought to Pitt County on Thursday to face charges.
