Chicago-based producer, percussionist and experimental jazz artist Makaya McCraven is coming to Judson\u2019s, and you can expect musical boundaries to be duly pushed. <\/p>\n

The drummer\u2019s last double album, Off the Record, collected live and improvised sets from tour and collaged them together into juggernauts of \u201corganic beat music.\u201d <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a heady pr\u00e9cis of where he\u2019s at and a perfect way to catch up with McCraven\u2019s live practice ahead of his four shows at Judson\u2019s. You might just end up on a record. <\/p>\n
