Some trees are visible beside the cafe.\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"default-font lh-default ma0 mh3 mt0 pb3\">\n\t\t\t\t (Photo by City of Busan\/courtesy of Haps Magazine Korea)<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">A former U.S. military barracks in\u00a0Busan Citizens Park\u00a0has been transformed into a public indoor play space for young children, marking a new chapter for a site once known as Camp Hialeah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">The \u201cDangsincheoreom Aejijungji Public Kids Caf\u00e9,\u201d is an indoor playground dedicated to infants and preschoolers. The project is part of the city\u2019s childcare policy brand \u201cDangsincheoreom Aejijungji,\u201d aimed at expanding family-friendly public spaces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">The building, located within a historic preservation zone, was formerly used as military housing during the U.S. Army\u2019s occupation of Camp Hialeah.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">Renovations were carried out following a detailed review by national heritage experts to preserve the structure\u2019s original barracks form while adapting it for modern use.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">Outside, visitors are greeted by photo zones featuring Pororo and Busan\u2019s official character Boogi. A historical information board has also been installed, allowing families to learn about the site\u2019s layered past.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">Inside, the facility is designed around a \u201cforest adventure\u201d concept.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">The main play experience room features three themed areas: an interactive sound-and-animal zone where children\u2019s drawings come to life on screen; a climbing and movement space that encourages large motor development; and a forest-inspired stage area where children can explore natural sounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">Supporting facilities include a nursing room, family restroom, and counseling room.<\/p>\n<p class=\"storyline-p f4 \">In addition to free play, the caf\u00e9 will offer parent-child activity programs and sensory play sessions led by instructors.
