FSU will face FAMU on Wednesday at 5 p.m. on ACCNX. Due to expected inclement weather on Friday, the Noles will now play a doubleheader against FGCU beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday. FSU will play a doubleheader against Rutgers beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. All four FSU games of the Unconquered Invitational can be seen on ACCNX with Shawn Davison (Play by Play) and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/michaela-edenfield\/6526\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6526\" target=\"_blank\">Michaela Edenfield<\/a> (Color) on the call.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Unconquered Invitational Schedule<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThursday &#8211; FSU vs. FGCU (DH) &#8211; 3 p.m. &#8211; ACCNX<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nFriday &#8211; FGCU vs. Rutgers (DH) &#8211; 11 a.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nSaturday &#8211; FSU vs. Rutgers (DH) &#8211; 10 a.m. &#8211; ACCNX<\/p>\n<p>Seminoles Host FAMU for Unite Game, Rutgers and FGCU for Unconquered Invitational&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU continues its homestand this week as they are slated for five games against Florida A&amp;M, Florida Gulf Coast and Rutgers.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tWednesday&#8217;s game against FAMU is the annual Unite Game sponsored by Champions First. There will be a pregame game ball presentation on the field featuring former FAMU coach Veronica Wiggins, former FSU coach JoAnne Graf, current FAMU coach Brittany Beall and Coach Alameda. Members of Boys Town will also be in attendance and a member will throw out the first pitch and all members will run the bases and have a chance to interact with both teams following the game.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU will play a doubleheader against FGCU on Thursday and Rutgers on Saturday.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFAMU enters Wednesday&#8217;s game with an 8-6 record and are coming off a 3-2 showing last weekend at the FIU Tournament in Miami. FAMU defeated Incarnate Word, Eastern Illinois (2x). FAMU was 28-20 last season with a 19-5 record in the SWAC. The Rattlers were one win away from winning the SWAC Championship and making the NCAA Tournament.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFGCU comes into the weekend 5-9 but has played several quality opponents. FGCU has wins over Long Island, Ball State, Hofstra (2x) and Florida Atlantic. FGCU has played P4 opponents in Kansas, Louisville and Wisconsin.&#13;<br \/>\n\tRutgers is 7-7 with a couple of quality wins over South Alabama and Notre Dame. The Scarlet Knights have played three games against ranked opponents in Tennessee and Mississippi State (2x).&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nSeries History<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU holds a combined 140-9 record against its foes this week.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU is 120-7 all-time against FAMU and has won 31 consecutive games against the Rattlers dating back to 2006.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has played FAMU more times than any other program in its history.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles have also dominated FGCU as they hold a 13-1 record all-time against the Eagles. FSU&#8217;s lone loss to the Eagles came in Fort Myers in 2024. FSU defeated FGCU 10-2 twice last year in the Dugout Club Classic.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU and Rutgers have not met on the diamond since 2012 where Rutgers recorded its only win against the Seminoles. Flaherty came to Fort Myers with FGCU head coach Lindsay Fico from Mercer. Flaherty helped the Bears to their first Southern Conference Championship and its first NCAA Tournament appearance.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tEdenfield will return to The Plex in the booth as the 2025 graduate will make her debut on ACCNX for all four FSU games of the Unconquered Invitational. Edenfield was a 2024 NFCA Third-Team All-American and a four-time All-ACC selection and finished in the top five in school history for career slugging percentage, career home runs, career walks and career RBI.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\nLast Time Out<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU went 3-2 last weekend with wins over Dartmouth (2x) and Elon but fell twice to No. 9 Alabama.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOffensively, FSU was led by freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/makenna-sturgis\/8030\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8030\" target=\"_blank\">Makenna Sturgis<\/a> who batted .600 with one home and four RBI on the weekend. Sturgis had a stretch against Alabama (2x), Dartmouth and Elon where she went 6-for-6 with three RBI and a home run. Sturgies was 4-for-5 in the two games against Alabama.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/anna-hinde\/8036\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8036\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Hinde<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a> also put together solid weekends as both players hit over .400 and \u00a0combined for seven RBI.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNoles at a Glance<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tComing off another NCAA Super Regional appearance, the Noles have plenty of reasons for optimism as they begin the 2026 season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU returns two NFCA All-Americans in <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> (First Team) and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/kennedy-harp\/6543\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6543\" target=\"_blank\">Kennedy Harp<\/a> (Second Team). Torres and Harp have the second-highest combined batting average of returning players in college softball. Torres (.436) and Harp (.412) hit a combined .424 last season. The only duo to have a higher batting average was Jordy Frahm (.462) and Ava Kuszak (.412) at Nebraska&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the circle, the Noles return the top pitching duo in the ACC in <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a>. Francik (1.51) and Danley (1.60) had the two-lowest ERAs in the ACC and have the lowest combined ERA of any returning duo in college softball.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU is one of two programs in the Power Four to not have a transfer on its roster. Virginia is the only other P4 team to not have a transfer on its roster.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU brings in nine true freshmen, and the class was ranked the No. 3 overall class by On3. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/bella-ruggiero\/8026\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8026\" target=\"_blank\">Bella Ruggiero<\/a> is also a redshirt freshman who was the No. 13 overall player by On3.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles had an ACC-leading five players on the All-ACC Team as <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jaysoni-beachum\/6540\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6540\" target=\"_blank\">Jaysoni Beachum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/kennedy-harp\/6543\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6543\" target=\"_blank\">Kennedy Harp<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> were all named to the team.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNoles&#8217; Offense Looking to be One of Nation&#8217;s Best Once Again<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has only been known for its success in the circle, but the offense has been one of the nation&#8217;s best the past couple of seasons.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn 2025, FSU finished in the top 10 in the country in batting average, hits, RBI, runs per game and triples.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU scored the fourth-most runs in school history last season and had the fourth-most hits in school history. The Noles also hit the third-most home runs in school history last season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles return its top two hitters in <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/kennedy-harp\/6543\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6543\" target=\"_blank\">Kennedy Harp<\/a> and return three players (Torres, Harp, Beachum) who had 45 or more RBI last season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tSo far this season, FSU is hitting .331 as a team and is averaging 6.44 runs per game.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nSeeing Double(s)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOne thing about the Noles is that if they can get two bags, they will.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has been one of the nation&#8217;s best teams at hitting doubles the past five seasons and this year seems to be no different.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has ranked in the top 25 in doubles every year for the past five seasons and has ranked in the top 10 in doubles in three of those seasons. FSU led the nation in doubles in 2023.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis year, FSU leads the ACC and is sixth in the country with 35 doubles. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/marin-heller\/8032\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8032\" target=\"_blank\">Marin Heller<\/a> has led the way with seven doubles which leads the ACC, and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/makenna-sturgis\/8030\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8030\" target=\"_blank\">Makenna Sturgis<\/a> have each hit four doubles which is tied for fifth in the ACC.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNoles\u00a0Have\u00a0Improved Immensely\u00a0Defensively in 2026<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOne of FSU&#8217;s most improved areas this season has been in the field.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tSo far this season, FSU holds a .981 fielding percentage which ranks 21st in the country and 2nd in the ACC.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has committed just eight errors in 404 chances.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLast season, FSU had a .963 fielding percentage that ranked 131st in the country and 10th in the ACC.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNothing New: Noles Expecting Great Success in the Circle<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOnce again, FSU and head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/coaches\/lonni-alameda\/670\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"670\" target=\"_blank\">Lonni Alameda<\/a> are expecting big things in the circle once again.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles have been settling in the circle. FSU has posted four shutouts this season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has given up 47 runs this season with 32 of those runs coming against top 10 opponents. FSU has allowed just 15 runs in 11 games against unranked opponents with five shutouts.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles have been led by <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a> who has posted a 6-1 record to go along with a 1.60 ERA in 35 innings. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/bella-dimitrijevic\/8034\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8034\" target=\"_blank\">Bella Dimitrijevic<\/a> has also been solid with a 2.70 ERA in 23.1 innings in her freshman campaign.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU&#8217;s starting rotation has been solid as FSU&#8217;s starting pitchers have thrown 54.1 innings, allowed 22 earned runs on 38 hits while striking out 49 batters compared to just 22 walks.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles bring back the top pitching duo in the ACC and the country in <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a>.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLast season, FSU held a 2.20 team ERA which was first in the ACC and sixth in the entire country.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU allowed just 92 walks last season which was the fifth least in the country.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik and Danley have the lowest combined ERA of any returning duo that pitched at least 90 innings in 2025. Torres was the first Seminole to hit an inside-the-park home run since Carsyn Gordon on May 19, 2018.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres had a record season in 2025 as she broke the FSU record with a .436 batting average.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tMaybe the most impressive stat in Torres&#8217; 2025 season was that she struck out just five times in 218 at bats. Opponents are hitting just .161 against Francik.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik has also allowed just five extra base hits all season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik has won back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Week awards to start the season. Francik is the first FSU pitcher to win back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Week awards since Meghan King in 2019.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOn opening week, Francik picked up three wins, did not allow a run in 17 innings and threw a no-hitter on opening night against Samford.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik&#8217;s no-hitter against Samford was the second no-hitter on opening day in FSU history. Francik joined Julie Larsen who threw a no-hitter against West Florida on opening day in 1986.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik&#8217;s 17 consecutive scoreless innings was the longest streak to start a season since Meghan King in 2019. Beachum has drawn 0.88 walks per game which is second in the ACC.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn three seasons, Beachum holds a .364 batting average with 30 home runs and 126 RBI.
