South Plantation<\/a> barely beat Fort Lauderdale<\/a> the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn’t the case this time around. The Paladins blew past the Flying L’s 17-6 on Monday. The Paladins haven’t had any issues with the Flying L’s recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.<\/p>\n McKenna Henschel<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.<\/p>\n At the plate, Victoria Vazquez<\/a> and Tessa Bertsch<\/a> did most of the damage at the plate: Vazquez went 4-for-6 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Bertsch went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Samantha O’Steen<\/a>, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs.<\/p>\n They weren’t the only ones making solid contact: South Plantation kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team’s really been improving in that area: they’ve now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.<\/p>\n South Plantation’s record now sits at 3-1. As for Fort Lauderdale, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.<\/p>\n Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. South Plantation will head out to challenge Monarch at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
