(WCTV\/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) &#8211; People running for Florida\u2019s highest office could soon have a security detail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Florida House approved a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=82973&amp;SessionId=113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=82973&amp;SessionId=113\">bill <\/a>requiring the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to protect nominees for governor and lieutenant governor following a primary election. The coverage would apply to both Republican and Democratic nominees and extend through the inauguration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The House also approved a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=83737&amp;SessionId=113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flhouse.gov\/Sections\/Bills\/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=83737&amp;SessionId=113\">separate bill<\/a> creating a process governing gubernatorial transitions in Florida.
