Competing steering currents are tugging Melissa in different directions, keeping the track slow and uncertain in the short term.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/weather-2.png\" alt=\"\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">As of Wednesday evening, it was located at 14.4\u00b0N 74.3\u00b0W, which is about 300 miles to the south-southwest of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Weather models are slowly beginning to agree on an eventual north-northeast turn. Steering keeps Melissa south and east of Florida for now. Melissa could organize quickly and move northeast within five days or so.
