The lawsuit alleges that the brothers sustained \u201cneck and back injuries\u201d after being \u201cthrusted erratically\u201d during a malfunction that caused the ride to stop suddenly. The incident occurred on December 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The brothers are seeking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/24\/brothers-sue-universal-after-alleged-injuries-on-harry-potter-ride-at-epic-universe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">$50,000 in damages each<\/a> for \u201cdisability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish and inconvenience; expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment; and past lost wages, loss of earning power and diminished earning capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Universal has not responded to the allegations.<\/p>\n<p><a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-27-37.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" alt=\"Ride vehicle for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction at Universal Epic Universe\" class=\"wp-image-1384032 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-27-37.jpg\" data-eio-rwidth=\"2560\" data-eio-rheight=\"1920\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-27-37.jpg\" alt=\"Ride vehicle for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction at Universal Epic Universe\" class=\"wp-image-1384032\" data-eio=\"l\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the first lawsuit to be filed regarding Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2026\/01\/harry-potter-and-the-battle-at-the-ministry-capacity-before-noon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">arguably the park\u2019s most popular ride<\/a>: the attraction has reached capacity on multiple occasions and posted waits of up to five hours.<\/p>\n<p>While Epic Universe has dealt with several lawsuits since the park\u2019s opening in May 2025, all so far have related to Stardust Racers, the roller coaster located in Celestial Park.
