(WCTV\/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) &#8211; The Florida House has approved a bill that would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/02\/17\/florida-moves-closer-eliminating-yellow-license-plate-stickers\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/02\/17\/florida-moves-closer-eliminating-yellow-license-plate-stickers\/\">end the requirement to place an annual registration sticker<\/a> on license plates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Under the bill, law enforcement officers would rely on technology they already use to verify vehicle registration, rather than the physical sticker. All other aspects of vehicle registration would remain the same, including annual renewals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">Florida Politics:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The state could save $24 million by no longer printing registration stickers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bill now goes to the Senate, where no hearing has been scheduled in the final days of the session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WCTV.
