Pat McAfee covered the check after the U.S. Olympic men\u2019s hockey team racked up a hefty booze bill at Miami\u2019s E11EVEN nightclub Monday, one day after their 2-1 overtime victory against Canada<\/a>\u00a0in the gold-medal game at the Milan Cortina Games.<\/p>\n

While the men\u2019s team was partying inside the club, a video of the ESPN personality praising the team flashed on the screen, as seen in a TikTok video. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBoys, thank you for representing the United States of America in such a great way,\u201d said McAfee, who was sporting an American flag tank top. \u201cIt was an honor to watch you win. Enjoy the hell out of it.<\/p>\n

Last night, the USA Men\u2019s Hockey Team celebrated their Olympic Gold at E11EVEN Miami, the famous 24\/7 ultraclub. Pat McAfee surprised the whole team by paying for the tab all night. Wow!<\/p>\n

The players were also seen drinking Michelob Ultra beer, among other beverages.<\/p>\n

McAfee, whose daily ESPN show returns from a Super Bowl break on Wednesday, congratulated the men\u2019s team in a series of tweets after their dramatic gold-medal win over Canada.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s team had a whirlwind week thus far. <\/p>\n

They made waves online over their now-viral phone call with President Donald Trump, who cracked a joke about having to invite the women\u2019s team \u2014 who also won gold in Milan over the Canadians \u2014 to the White House, or else: \u201cI believe I probably would be impeached.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump and the men\u2019s team faced backlash after sharing a laugh over the joke. <\/p>\n

The women\u2019s team\u00a0declined Trump\u2019s invitation\u00a0<\/a>due to previous scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\n

Some members of the men\u2019s team attended Trump\u2019s State of the Union address in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, and they visited the White House.<\/p>\n

Trump said in his speech that the women\u2019s team would soon be coming to the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also announced he will be giving team goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, who made 41 saves in the gold-medal game, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the U.S. government\u2019s highest civilian honor.<\/p>\n
