Tampa&#8217;s River O&#8217;Green is back!<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The sunniest St. Patty&#8217;s Day celebration returns for its 14th year on Saturday, March 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We&#8217;ve got you covered with everything you need to know before the festivities begin.<\/p>\n<p>When does Tampa turn the river green?<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">River O&#8217;Green 2026 will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Hillsborough River will turn a dazzling shade of kelly green using non-toxic, biodegradable coloring that meets EPA standards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The event also includes a parade, live entertainment and food.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">New this year is the Wee Lads Shamrock Shoppes, a local market made for kids, by kids.<\/p>\n<p>River O&#8217; Green entertainment lineup<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The day kicks off with a performance by the Irish Color Guard before the river coloring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Once the festival begins, expect non-stop entertainment on the main stage with everything from Irish dancers to a pet costume contest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The parade begins at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">You can find the full lineup of entertainers and vendors on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampasdowntown.com\/events\/river-ogreen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Tampa&#039;s Downtown event site.;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Tampa&#8217;s Downtown event site.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Downtown Tampa parking<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Those who plan to drive to the event can park in the Fort Brooke Garage at 107 N. Franklin Street, or the Twiggs Garage at 901 E. Twiggs Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">You can also park in Ybor City and take the TECO Streetcar, for free, to Whiting Station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If you plan to use public transit, HART&#8217;s free Route 1 or other HART bus routes will get you to the festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">For bicyclists, free on-site valet will be provided courtesy of the Tampa Downtown Partnership.<\/p>\n<p>River O&#8217; Green road &amp; waterway closures<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even if you won&#8217;t be at the festival, it could impact your Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tampa police are advising of the following road closures on March 14:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ashley Drive &#8211; Closes at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Gasparilla Plaza &#8211; Changes direction at 11 a.m., closes at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Cass Street at Ashley Drive &#8211; Closes at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">All road closures are expected to be lifted at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Boaters should be aware that the Hillsborough River between Cass Street and Kennedy Boulevard closes from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">River O&#8217;Green is one of the region&#8217;s largest St. Patrick&#8217;s Day celebrations.
