One airport says travelers are a little too comfortable while headed for the skies.<\/p>\n
Tampa International Airport took to social media to warn airline passengers that their pajamas as travel wear are no longer acceptable.<\/p>\n
“We’ve seen enough. We’ve had enough. It’s time to ban pajamas at Tampa International Airport,” TPA posted on X<\/a> on Feb. 26, while boasting about a previous ban on Crocs and referring to mid-day pajama-wearing as a “crisis.”<\/p>\n The pajama ban was a joke, the airport told USA TODAY: “Tampa International Airport regularly shares lighthearted, satirical social media content as part of our ongoing effort to engage with our followers. Today\u2019s post about ‘banning’ pajamas was another playful nod to day-of-travel fashion debates. We encourage our passengers to travel comfortably and appreciate our loyal followers who enjoy the online humor.”<\/p>\n But no doubt some might have been rooting for a policy change.<\/p>\n Traveler attire has been real topic of conversation since the Department of Transportation kicked off its new “Golden Age of Travel<\/a>” campaign last fall.<\/p>\n Among other suggestions, the DOT lists “dressing with respect<\/a>.” In a video shared by CNN<\/a>, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy<\/a> elaborated, “I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better, which encourages us to maybe behave all a littler better. Let’s try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport.”<\/p>\n Does Indianapolis International Airport have a dress code?<\/p>\n Indianapolis International Airport does not have a dress code for travelers, a spokesperson for the airport said, but it expects \u201cpassengers to follow general laws related to public decency.\u201d<\/p>\n The airport hasn’t considered changes to the approach There have been no recent changes to this approach, nor is any policy under consideration.<\/p>\n \u201cWe encourage all travelers to dress comfortably and appropriately for their journey,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n Airport dining: IND to expand food offerings, renovate Shapiro’s.
