{"id":171435,"date":"2026-02-27T13:11:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T13:11:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/171435\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T13:11:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T13:11:19","slug":"dense-fog-to-start-with-rain-chances-increasing-throughout-the-day-orlando-sentinel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/171435\/","title":{"rendered":"Dense fog to start, with rain chances increasing throughout the day \u2013 Orlando Sentinel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A brief reprieve from the consistently dry conditions may be on its way.<\/p>\n<p>Friday begins with a dense fog advisory across the southern parts of Central Florida through 9 a.m., according to NWS Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>The advisory includes Osceola, Okeechobee, inland and mainland Brevard, inland Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties.<\/p>\n<p>There is a slight chance of showers before 1 p.m., a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then likely showers and a possible thunderstorm after 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Orlando and Melbourne are at 70 percent chances, Fort Pierce has a 60 percent chance and Daytona has a 50 percent chance for rain, according to NWS Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will peak between 79 and 85 degrees across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, rain and lightning storm activity will increase Friday afternoon and into Saturday ahead of a weak front.<\/p>\n<p>Isolated to scattered onshore moving showers are anticipated Sunday through Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>There is a moderate risk of rip currents at all area beaches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A brief reprieve from the consistently dry conditions may be on its way.
