In 2026, that magic was alive and thriving as neighbors, collectors, families, and artists gathered once again beneath\u00a0 the trees of Coconut Grove. Our community newspaper spent the holiday weekend at the Fair,\u00a0 and we left with the same feeling shared by so many others: this is more than an art event- it\u2019s a\u00a0 celebration of creativity, history and Miami\u2019s ever-evolving creative spirit.<\/p>\n

With a legacy that stretches back decades, the Fair remains a cornerstone of Miami\u2019s cultural\u00a0 calendar. It has grown alongside the city itself, reflecting Miami\u2019s transformation into a global\u00a0 arts destination. This year\u2019s edition made one thing clear: art in Miami is powerful and stronger\u00a0 than ever.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among the many talented artists, we had the pleasure of visiting a few who left a real impression.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jenny Henley captivated viewers with her distinctive pigment prints and acrylic works on panel,\u00a0 finished with varnish. Her art blurs the line between photography and painting, embracing the\u00a0 beauty of antiquated electronics. Old cameras, devices, and mechanical relics are reimagined\u00a0 with a nostalgic yet contemporary eye, transforming forgotten technology into vibrant visual\u00a0 storytelling. The children of the. 60\u2019s, 70\u2019s and 80\u2019s would love this art.<\/p>\n

From Canada, Agnes Rathonyi, based in St. Catharines, brought an emotional depth to the Fair\u00a0 through her richly layered compositions. Her work explores expressiveness through texture,\u00a0 form, and color, applying paint in ways that feel both deliberate and intuitive. Each piece invites\u00a0 the viewer to slow down and experience the subtle dialogue between movement and structure. <\/p>\n

We were, also, drawn to the architectural sensibility of Benjamin Frey, a Maine-born artist who\u00a0 has worked professionally since 2003 and grew up in an artistic family. His mixed-media\u00a0 architectural drawings and collages depict cities and landmarks ranging from Florida to New\u00a0 York and Virginia. These layered cityscapes feel both familiar and imaginative proof that for\u00a0 Frey, the skyline is not the limit but the beginning. Sit back and watch, you will transform to that\u00a0 venue. Its special.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Another standout was Unmarid Eitharong from Deland, FL. Her abstract mixed-media works are\u00a0 filled with orderly, yet dynamic figures, where color and form take center stage. Framed in glass,\u00a0 the paintings gain a striking three-dimensional quality, pulling viewers into a rhythmic world of\u00a0 balance, motion, and visual harmony.<\/p>\n

Walking through the Coconut Grove Art Fair 2026, it was impossible not to feel inspired. The\u00a0 blend of long-standing tradition, emerging creativity, and genuine community spirit made this\u00a0 year\u2019s Fair a reminder of why art matters-especially here in Miami. It connects us, challenges us,\u00a0 and brings us together. And if this year is any indication, Miami\u2019s art scene is only just getting\u00a0 started.<\/p>\n

Adding to the richness of the 2026 Coconut Grove Art Fair, we were especially charmed by the\u00a0 storytelling works of Signe Grushovenko and Genna Grushovenko, a husband-and-wife artist\u00a0 duo whose joint vision celebrates the poetry of everyday life. Their paintings transport viewers to\u00a0 past decades, depicting old American cars, quiet streets, golfers, and people simply sitting,\u00a0 talking, and enjoying the rhythm of daily living. There\u2019s a warmth and nostalgia in their work\u2014a\u00a0 gentle reminder of an era when life felt slower and moments felt savored. \u201cOld America\u201d is more\u00a0 than a theme here; it\u2019s a feeling lovingly preserved on canvas. It is truly special.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Another unforgettable highlight was Amber Marshall, whose handblown glass sculptures\u00a0 stopped visitors in their tracks. Each piece was absolutely stunning, filled with intricate detail\u00a0 and movement that only glass can capture. Her work feels alive\u2014fluid, luminous, and\u00a0 masterfully crafted. This is an artist whose work demands a must-see exhibition, the kind you\u00a0 plan a day around and remember long after.<\/p>\n

Beyond the booths, the Fair itself radiated happiness. And yes, the food was just so good. Music and live entertainment flowed through the Fair,\u00a0 setting the perfect backdrop as food vendors fired up their grills. The aromas alone were enough\u00a0 to make every visitor pause, ready to choose from an incredible variety of flavors. With bites in\u00a0 hand, guests wandered the grounds, enjoying talent from artists who traveled from all over the\u00a0 country-and many from outside the USA-bringing global creativity to Coconut Grove.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Coconut Grove Art Fair 2026 was not just an event; it was an experience. A place where art,\u00a0 food, music, and community came together seamlessly.
