The honor is awarded to elementary students in fifth grade and high school seniors.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to October\u2019s Rotary Club of Seminole Students of the Month named below.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bauder Elementary: Ava Lafferty<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Orange Grove Elementary: Daniel Goodner<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seminole Elementary School: Liam Hootman<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Seminole High School: Jackson Healy<\/p>\n<p>Woman\u2019s Club opens annual food drive<\/p>\n<p>SEMINOLE \u2014 The Seminole Junior Woman\u2019s Club is seeking donations for the 28th annual \u201cShare Our Spirit\u201d food drive. Each year, the SJWC works with guidance counselors at local Seminole Elementary schools to determine which families in the community require assistance providing meals for their children during the Christmas break. Many students receive regular meals through school programs but go hungry over school break.<\/p>\n<p>Donations are sought for nonperishable food items including canned chicken, tuna, salmon, cereal, breakfast bars, peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, canned vegetables and fruit, fruit cups, boxed macaroni and cheese, applesauce, and similar products.<\/p>\n<p>SJWC \u201cShare Our Spirit\u201d donation boxes can be found at local businesses throughout Seminole, such as Seminole Recreation Center, Salon 131, Lake Seminole Square, and Oakhurst Learning Center. Collection will take place from Nov. 1 through Dec. 12.<\/p>\n<p>Monetary and gift cards donations for perishable items are also welcome.
