Last month, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, hosted a heartfelt evening of community and philanthropy, filled with smiles, connection and shopping, all for a great cause.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the event benefited the Key Biscayne Fund for the Sunshine Kids, a 40-year-old nonprofit that provides group activities and emotional support for thousands of young cancer patients receiving treatment in hospitals across North America, including four in South Florida.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled with the strong community showing, support and generosity that helps give hope to kids undergoing cancer treatment,\u201d said Vivian Galego-Mendez, chair of the Key Biscayne Fund for Sunshine Kids and vice president and managing broker for the Key Biscayne office of BHHS EWM Realty.<\/p>\n
Galego-Mendez said the strong turnout has inspired plans for another Night of Giving event around Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
