TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Applications for the 2026 Summer Youth Training Program in Leon County are now being accepted, according to county officials. <\/p>\n
The program is a five-week program running from June 29 to July 31, allowing individuals aged 14 to 24 to gain job experience by working with a department of Leon County, the Leon County Government announced. All positions will be 20 hours per week and pay $14 an hour, according to officials.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, participants will also gain professional development training through the Learn, Earn and Advance Program, which officials described as a program \u201cfocused on essential skills such as goal-setting, budgeting, time management, customer service, and so much more.\u201d <\/p>\n

To help teens prepare for employment opportunities such as the program, the county is expected to host \u201cCareer Read: Teen Mock Interviews,\u201d an opportunity for teens to practice mock interviews and to learn how to professionally present themselves, per the officials\u2019 press release. <\/p>\n
For those interested, it\u2019s scheduled to take place on April 18 from 11 a.m. to noon at the downtown Main Library, located at 200 West Park Avenue.<\/p>\n
