ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 The family of Jennifer Kesse is sharing an update on the investigation into her disappearance that happened nearly 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe Kesse was abducted outside her condo on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando. She has never been seen since.<\/p>\n

In a Facebook post on Oct. 21, 2025, her parents, Drew and Joyce Kesse, said they had recently met with special agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement<\/a> who told them investigators found DNA on evidence that was never tested.<\/p>\n

FDLE officials said investigators were able to narrow the list of people they believe could have information about what happened to their daughter.<\/p>\n

In January of this year,<\/a> Kesse\u2019s parents marked the anniversary of her disappearance expressing disappointment over the lack of leads and direction on the 19-year-old investigation.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, they expressed some relief to learn that her case is no longer cold with new evidence that may lead to closure.<\/p>\n

In 2019, the family filed and settled a lawsuit with the Orlando Police Department for access to investigative records.<\/p>\n

FDLE began investigating shortly after and Kesse\u2019s parents now say the team of investigators \u201care definitely hyped up and moving forward quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n
