TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Tallahassee State College men\u2019s basketball team is playing the waiting game, as the Panhandle Conference ended in a four way tie, something that has never happened before in men\u2019s hoops.<\/p>\n
The Eagles, Chipola, Gulf Coast, and Northwest Florida State all finishing 7-5 in conference play, meaning what three teams get a bid to the Region Eight tournament is still undecided.<\/p>\n
In a four way tie, the conference will use the Massey Ratings, a computer ranking system, as the tie break, and whatever they are as of 9:00 Wednesday morning will determine the Eagles fate.<\/p>\n
\u201cChipola and us are the bottom two. We\u2019re just decimal points behind them is what we\u2019re being told,\u201d said TSC head coach Corey Hendren. \u201cOn our end we just have to pray somehow that some of those games will help us. It\u2019s out of our control now. It\u2019s kind of just wait and see how it plays out. I hate it for our guys. You fee like you\u2019re on the outside looking in even though you\u2019ve done what you should to be in the position to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
If the nationally ranked sixth Eagles are on the outside looking in, they could still receive a bid to the national tournament at the end of the month.<\/p>\n
