{"id":175805,"date":"2026-03-03T01:47:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T01:47:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/175805\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T01:47:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T01:47:36","slug":"man-found-guilty-of-beating-girlfriends-son-to-death-sentenced-to-30-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/175805\/","title":{"rendered":"Man found guilty of beating girlfriend&#8217;s son to death sentenced to 30 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 The man found guilty of beating his girlfriend&#8217;s <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay28.com\/news\/region-hillsborough\/man-charged-with-murder-for-beating-girlfriends-8-year-old-child-with-belt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">8-year-old son to death with a belt<\/a> was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Tyrone Covington was accused of beating his girlfriend\u2019s 8-year-old child with a belt in Oct. 2020. The child was taken to the hospital after the mother noticed the child was struggling to breathe.
