ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 High pressure remains in control across Florida this week, keeping Central Florida in a breezy onshore pattern with gradually warming temperatures.<\/p>\n

Breezy This Evening with Isolated Showers South<\/p>\n

North to northeast winds will run 10 to 15 mph today, with gusts up to 20 to 25 mph at times, especially along the coast as the sea breeze develops.<\/p>\n

Most of Central Florida stays dry, but a few isolated showers are possible, mainly from Cape Canaveral to Kissimmee southward. Rain chances this evening sit around 20% – 30%, and lightning is not expected.<\/p>\n

A few showers may drift onshore overnight, mainly near the coast, with rain chances between 20% and 40%.<\/p>\n

Good News for Lunar Eclipse Viewing<\/p>\n

Most areas will see partly cloudy skies overnight, which should allow many of us to catch the total lunar eclipse<\/a>. Clouds will not be completely absent, but viewing conditions look favorable across much of the region.<\/p>\n

Overnight lows drop to 63 degrees.<\/p>\n

Warming Trend Continues<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s high climbs to 82 degrees, and temperatures will continue trending warmer through the week.<\/p>\n

By late week, many inland areas will reach the mid 80s. Coastal communities will stay slightly cooler thanks to the afternoon sea breeze. Overnight lows remain mild in the low 60s.<\/p>\n

Daily Rain Chances This Week<\/p>\n

As winds turn more easterly and pull in Atlantic moisture, rain chances increase to 30% – 50% each afternoon through the weekend.<\/p>\n

These will not be washout days. Expect scattered, quick-moving showers, with a low chance for isolated lightning storms. Any storms that develop could produce brief gusty winds and lightning.<\/p>\n

Beach and Boating Conditions<\/p>\n

A high risk of rip currents continues at area beaches due to increasing onshore winds. Swim near a lifeguard and use extreme caution. Entering rough surf is not advised.<\/p>\n

Boating conditions will be poor to hazardous at times this week. Winds increase to 15 – 20 knots, and seas build to 4 – 7 feet offshore. Small craft should exercise caution.<\/p>\n
