It\u2019s almost 305 Day! The 13th annual celebration of all that is wonderful about Miami and its iconic area code is making its anticipated return this weekend.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a true Miamian, then no explanation is needed for this holiday. For those not in the know, 305 Day is recognized on March 5 (aka 3\/05) every year, paying homage to the city\u2019s vibrant culture and roots. This year, however, the official block party is taking over Hialeah Park & Casino on Saturday, March 7, featuring everything from live music to art and a lineup of mouthwatering food and drinks.<\/p>\n

Highlights include a Miami-inspired Zumba class, local food trucks, interactive brand activations and free cafecito by Caf\u00e9 La Llave to keep your energy up. You\u2019ll also find local vendors showcasing their best wares alongside a Domino Park experience, pickleball and NASCAR displays.<\/p>\n

In true 305 fashion, this year brings a hilarious new addition: the first-ever Red Bull Chancleta Run! Leave behind your running shoes and race head-to-head in flip flops throughout an obstacle course until one chancleta champion is crowned.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s musical lineup definitely doesn\u2019t disappoint either, with Lenier, IAmChino, Mr. Mauricio and DJ Laz keeping the vibes going. You can also expect performances by the Hip Hop Kidz and a special meet-and-greet opportunity with Pitbull\u2019s dancers, The Most Bad Ones, adding even more Magic City flavor to the day.<\/p>\n

To top it all off, the venue will be transformed into an open-air gallery with live graffiti and mural painting from the city\u2019s most recognized street artists, including Abstrk, Tesoe, Vic Garcia, Disem and more.<\/p>\n

The official 305 Day party is going down on March 7 at Hialeah Park & Casino (2200 E 4th Street). Doors may open at 1 p.m. but programming starts at exactly 3:05 p.m., of course! Free on-site parking is available, or you can take the Metrorail\u2019s green line train straight to the Hialeah Station across the street.<\/p>\n
