The Greater Orlando Sports Commission in early January announced that it \u201cwould be bidding\u201d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2026\/01\/09\/orlando-to-bid-for-2030-nba-all-star-weekend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2026\/01\/09\/orlando-to-bid-for-2030-nba-all-star-weekend\/\">host NBA All-Star Weekend in 2030<\/a>. That comes as the Magic have \u201cgone through the evolution of shifting from a team pushing for a better draft pick to battling for a stronger spot in the NBA playoffs over the years.\u201d With that, the \u201creputation of both of the franchise and the city of Orlando has reformed back into a location that could host major events for the league once again.\u201d Martins has \u201cplayed a leading role in the local organizing committee that\u2019s working to attract\u201d NBA All-Star Weekend back to Orlando. Martins said, \u201cThat\u2019s been a large percentage of my time, working with that group and working with the NBA to prepare our bid, and our goal is to bring NBA All-Star back to Orlando.
