The 6-9 p.m. event, Enjoy, will feature work from more than 50 local artists.<\/p>\n<p>FloridaRAMA debuts a new exhibit with an opening reception Friday. Consisting of works in various media by 45 artists, ArtOfficial Intelligence: A Multidisciplinary Robot-Themed Show was curated by Zulu Painter, Aurailieus and Jason Bromley on behalf of the St. Pete Robot Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The reception is 6-10 p.m. Friday, and the exhibit will remain through April 25.<\/p>\n<p>Works by four Pinellas County artists adorn Gates 7\u201311 at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport now through June. Rise is curated and presented by Creative Pinellas at the airport gallery. Artists are photographer Lucy Westphal, woodcarver Scott Solary, clay artist Charles Morrison and poet Letisia Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy placing local artists at the heart of a major transportation hub, we\u2019re strengthening our creative economy, supporting working artists, and inviting visitors to engage with this community in a meaningful way from the moment they arrive,\u201d Creative Pinellas CEO Margaret Murray said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s History: Leading the Change debuts Friday at Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport. Featuring the works of 40 woman artists, it begins with a 6-10 p.m. reception (live music by Zeta the Babe). The artists were asked to illustrate \u201cwhat positive change looks like with women at the forefront.\u201d March 12 brings a spoken word component to the exhibition, with poets Gemini Fox, Liz Prizley, Jyoti Porwal, Rob Fernandez, Jamie Dawson, Dante Hamilton and IAM performing from 6 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Friday brings the March edition of Gulfport\u2019s First Friday Art Walk, and many local artists take advantage of this influx of visitors to introduce new artists and new exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>DRV Gallery brings the works of renowned Chine coll\u00e9 printmaker Suzanne Benton to Gulfport, as its March-April show. Friday\u2019s opening reception (5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at DRV) will include Benton herself and live music from Jim Gilmour &amp; Friends.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-113077\" class=\"wp-image-113077\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/CraftArt-founders-Luis-and-Elsa-Freund-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"827\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-113077\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u201cThe Makers That Made Us\u201d: Florida CraftArt founders Luis and Elsa Freund. Photo: Eureka Springs Historical Museum<\/p>\n<p>Florida CraftArt celebrates its 75th year with The Makers That Made Us March 11 through April 22. Curated by Michele Tuegel, Florida CraftArt\u2019s first Executive Director, the exhibition draws from the organization\u2019s permanent collection to reflect on the artists, ideas, and values that shaped Florida CraftArt from its founding to the present. There will be a reception March 14.<\/p>\n<p>The Morean Center for Clay premieres Sunny Delights, a ceramics exhibition by Eric Doctors, with a reception March 14 (5-9 p.m.). \u201cDoctors,\u201d the gallery info decrees, \u201csculpts ideas across a multitude of disciplines including mathematics, philosophy, architecture, and storytelling.\u201d The exhibition will remain through April 4.<\/p>\n<p>At the Imagine Museum, Visions of the Future is billed as an \u201cimmersive sci-fi inspired showcase (that) explores speculative worlds, futuristic identities, and imagined realities through contemporary glass and mixed-media works, redefining how art envisions what lies ahead.\u201d It\u2019s in the rotating second floor gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Participation is limited to 15 people for Caravaggio in a Different Light, March 14 at the Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg. It\u2019s a black (ultraviolet) light tour of the exhibit In Caravaggio\u2019s Light, with Chief Curator Stanton Thomas, a forensic look into the \u201cinevitable scars and repairs of the centuries\u201d \u2013 unseen to the naked eye \u2013 of the 400-year-old paintings in the exhibit. <a href=\"https:\/\/mfastpete.org\/event\/caravaggio-in-a-different-light\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Find fee info at this link<\/a>. In Caravaggio\u2019s Light will remain through March 22.<\/p>\n<p>Beth Belaschky: Echos of the Luminous opens March 17 at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts in Tampa.
