BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 Deputies in Broward County arrested a man in relation to a case of domestic violence involving children.<\/p>\n
According to the Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies responded to a home that was shared by the victim and the suspect, who has been identified as Teodaris Soto, 34. <\/p>\n
Upon arrival, the victim informed deputies that she had picked Soto up after he had been out drinking with friends, once they arrived at their home, she said Soto remained in the car after she went inside, according to an arrest form.<\/p>\n
The victim said Soto refused to come inside, instead sending text messages to the victim in which he stated he wanted her dead, deputies said. <\/p>\n
When she did not respond, police said Soto came inside the home and began yelling, saying \u201che would kill her before she ever left him,\u201d according to an arrest form.<\/p>\n
The victim told deputies she left the residence after that in an attempt to deescalate the situation, and that\u2019s when she said Soto began destroying property inside the home, breaking glass items, removing TVs from the walls and slamming them onto the ground, punching holes into the walls and kicking a hole into the children\u2019s bedroom door. <\/p>\n
Once inside the children\u2019s room, the victim told police Soto yelled that \u201che hoped everyone would die\u201d and allegedly pointed at one of the children and repeatedly said he hoped that would die, an arrest report stated. <\/p>\n
A confession was redacted from Soto\u2019s arrest form. <\/p>\n
He is facing four counts of abuse or cruelty toward a child without great bodily harm and an additional count of domestic violence assault. <\/p>\n
He was not listed among Broward County jail inmates as of Monday evening. <\/p>\n
