New directional signage themed to The Lost Continent has appeared in Universal Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort. With the construction of the area <\/a>well underway, it\u2019s possible construction walls are soon to follow.<\/p>\n

Lost Continent Signage<\/p>\n

Photographer bioreconstruct shared the above photo of the sign inside The Lost Continent outside Fire Eater\u2019s Grill. It points to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, VelociCoaster, and Jurassic Park.<\/p>\n

The sign could be due to the closure of the bridge connecting the Wizarding World and Jurassic Park<\/a>, although it\u2019s pretty far away from the bridge and doesn\u2019t let guests know they won\u2019t be able to reach Jurassic Park on the other side of the Wizarding World.<\/p>\n

The sign could mean construction walls will be going up in The Lost Continent soon, leading to more confusing walkways.<\/p>\n

The demolition of The Lost Continent has been a long time coming. Half of the land closed between 2008 and 2010 to be reimagined into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Flying Unicorn became Flight of the Hippogriff and Dueling Dragons became Dragon Challenge, which then permanently closed in 2017.<\/p>\n

Poseidon\u2019s Fury closed<\/a> on May 9, 2023, but there\u2019s been little visible work at the attraction since. Water was recently drained<\/a> from features near the entrance. Construction walls have been at the exit<\/a> for months. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad closed in 2018 and construction walls went up at the theater<\/a> in 2022 but the show\u2019s set remains standing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Totem\"Totem<\/a><\/p>\n

Universal cleared trees from The Lost Continent<\/a> in November 2025. A month later, they filed a Notice of Commencement for a new ride by Intamin<\/a> for the area.<\/p>\n

The bridge connecting The Lost Continent and Seuss Landing was recently refurbished.<\/p>\n

This all comes after Universal\u00a0confirmed construction at The Lost Continent<\/a>\u00a0in September, stating it was \u201cto ensure the area is ready for any future developments,\u201d although they have not indicated what those future developments might be.<\/p>\n
