Soho Saloon is hanging up its spurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The South Tampa country-themed sports bar, located at 410 S.Howard Ave., made the announcement earlier this week via its Instagram account<\/a>, saying it\u2019s time for \u201csomething new.\u201d<\/p>\n

Owner Michael Disser, of Disser Hospitality Investment, said in the post that the closure and rebrand of the space will bring \u201ca new chapter that is focused on bringing an even better atmosphere, stronger concept, and unforgettable nights in Soho.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company currently operates the nearby Nashville-inspired Sunset Rodeo music venue and Howard & Platt, which is expected to open in May.\u00a0 Disser also teased a new concept opening in the former Deck Pizza\/Side Piece space in the coming months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The post didn\u2019t explain the reasoning behind the rebrand, but the announcement comes as TPD has implemented increased pressure campaigns in the area over the last 12 months regarding the use of fake IDs, including \u201cOperation Buzzkill<\/a>,\u201d which resulted in over 50 arrests in the Soho and Ybor City districts.<\/p>\n

The bar also made headlines in 2022, when a patron was charged by the Tampa Police Department with a hate crime <\/a>after firing \u201cmultiple gunshots from his vehicle into the air while yelling \u2018White Power.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
