(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\">WWSB<\/a>) &#8211; A pilot was able to walk away from an emergency landing on a Tampa street Tuesday night, the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies say a pilot experienced mechanical issues with a Cessna 152 at about 10:30 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies received a call from the Tampa International Airport Police Department alerting them that a plane was attempting an emergency landing on Weaver Lane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/2026\/02\/06\/small-aircraft-rolls-over-runway-airport-manatee-palmetto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/2026\/02\/06\/small-aircraft-rolls-over-runway-airport-manatee-palmetto\/\">Small aircraft rolls over near Airport Manatee in Palmetto<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">While trying to land, the aircraft struck a power line and a tree before landing near Weaver Lane and Rockhill Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Despite substantial damage to the aircraft, the pilot was not injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The plane is registered to Training Planes LLC of Tampa, FAA records show. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WWSB.
