Bennett, stunned by the woman\u2019s limited critiques of the Iranian regime, reiterated her question, which only prompted an increasingly awkward back-and-forth.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think women have a right to choose where they want to live and what they want to follow,\u201d the student said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Iran?\u201d Bennett balked.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Iran, yeah. I think that people have misconceptions about religion, especially with Muslims in Islamic regions,\u201d the student said.<\/p>\n
Bennett went viral in 2018 after posting her controversial graduation photos. x\/KaitMarieox<\/p>\n
The student, who noted she is on some type of prescribed medication, fidgeted the entire interview. She wore a T-shirt that had the text \u201cDon\u2019t Touch Me Kitty I\u2019m Edging\u201d emblazoned above a picture of a chiseled werewolf.<\/p>\n
While Bennett steamrolled on, imploring the pair to condemn the Iranian regime, the student took her admiration a step further and shrugged off slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei\u2019s laundry list of war crimes, claiming that \u201cwe have a dictator in [America].\u201d<\/p>\n

Bennett seized on the opportunity and offered to buy the woman and her male friend, who was quiet through most of the confrontation, a one-way ticket to Iran \u2014 which they happily accepted. <\/p>\n
The nurse-to-be noted that she would accept a ticket to Iran, but \u201ctake a little trip around the Middle East\u201d when she landed.<\/p>\n
Bennett warned the pair that they \u201cwouldn\u2019t be safe in Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s disturbing, and it\u2019s very sad, that you won\u2019t condemn or even say \u2018Iran is not safe for women\u2019. It\u2019s not even safe for dogs. It\u2019s not safe for gay people, or anyone,\u201d Bennett said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re gonna walk around and try to tell me that [America] is a worse place to be, as a woman, than Iran?\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWould you like to be a primary source? We can go to Iran and we could, like, hold hands,\u201d the nursing student teased. <\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t even hold hands with you in America,\u201d a fed-up Bennett flatly rejected.<\/p>\n
Bennett\u2019s team organized a GiveSendGo fundraiser for the two students just after the interview wrapped on Monday. The fundraiser remedied Bennett\u2019s original offer to two round-trip tickets, bumping up the estimated cost to $2,400. <\/p>\n
\u201cPlease consider supporting the cause to free these students from their oppression,\u201d Bennett wrote.<\/p>\n
Bennett claimed that the proceeds would alternatively go to the Options For Women Pregnancy Help Clinic, which is \u201cstrategically located right next to Polk County\u2019s only remaining abortion facility.\u201d<\/p>\n
The fundraiser just cleared the $2,000 mark as of Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
