Pinellas Park<\/a> won the last time they faced St. Petersburg<\/a> and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots put the hurt on the Green Devils with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.<\/p>\n Kiersten Hall<\/a> made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn’t allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Hall was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Ayanah Wilson<\/a> and Bella Birge<\/a> did most of the damage at the plate: Wilson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Birge got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Rylee Westwood<\/a> was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.<\/p>\n Pinellas Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Petersburg only posted an OBP of .263.<\/p>\n Pinellas Park is on a roll lately: they’ve won three of their last four matchups. That’s provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for St. Petersburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.<\/p>\n Coming up, Pinellas Park will be playing at home against Dunedin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Petersburg, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Boca Ciega at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.<\/p>\n
