Nothing\u2019s been easy for synth-pop innovator Gary Numan, but the last few months have been particularly brutal. <\/p>\n

Numan\u2019s brother John passed away from a sudden heart attack in November right after the siblings had spent the evening together, and then Numan\u2019s wife, Gemma, was left partially paralyzed after spinal surgery in February. And yet, Numan soldiers on \u2014 his U.S. tour kicks off in Florida this week after a stint on the \u201980s Cruise. <\/p>\n

What to expect? Sleek and (still) state-of-the-art electronic anthems that mix pop bite with dystopian prophecy (oh hey!) on actual hit singles. Recent output has been a bit more rote industrial-metally, but we guess that\u2019s almost a chicken\/egg situation. So check out an actual legend, bloody but unbowed, in a few days <\/p>\n
